Last year we were inspired to bring you the Ponce – this year we feel compelled to bring him back again.
Ponce de Ponce de Panache returns as Supreme Leader of La Cité. Along with him are his outrageous cabinet ministers, a team of astonishingly strong, athletic and amazing contemporary circus artists. Turning governance into a game show, Ponce will amuse and revile you as only he can do.
We are thrilled to bring an exceptional cast of Acrobats, Aerialists and Actors to the stage in Edmonton. Ross Travis, Chinese Pole extraordinaire from San Francisco, returns in the role of Ponce de Ponce, a fusion of King Louis XIV and Donald Trump. 2016 PANACHE alumni include international sensation Billy Kidd (Magic), Lyne Gosselin (Trapeze), Mackenzie Baert (Rhythmic Contortion), Jason Kodie as our live musician Lucky, and Minions Tara Bergen and Samara Sedmak.
Joining the cast are circus artists Patrick Chan on the Aerial Straps (Calgary), Caitlin Mader on corde lisse (Calgary), Lisa Feehan on the Aerial Cargo Net (Edmonton), and making their Edmonton debut, Acrobatic Superstars Les Vitaminés from Quebec. Edmonton actors Mat Busby, Shannon Blanchet, and Dave Horak round out the exceptionally talented cast.
